Also known as dracaena trifasciata, sansevieria trifasciata or mother-in-law's tongue, snake plants are native to tropical West Africa. Because they store water in their leaves, they're virtually indestructible. These popular, low-maintenance plants grow slowly and, depending on the variety, can reach anywhere from eight inches to 12 feet with proper care.
Height/Habit: 12-26" Upright
Low - No direct sun, not near a window. Medium - Medium bright indirect light in the AM or PM, typically from an east or west window. High - Bright direct or indirect light for much of the day, typically from a south window.
Water Requirements: Only needs water 2-3 times a month, this plant does not like to be overwatered.
Soil Requirements: use an all-purpose potting mix, add some sand for drainage
