Soft silver and creamy white splashed over green — Silvery Ann is the pothos that looks painted. In a hanging basket the vines spill over the rim in long, easy trails. It’s the plant you hang where you want a little shimmer without a lot of fuss.

Brighter light keeps the silver strong. In a dim corner it will still grow, but the variegation fades toward green.

Care at a glance

Light
Bright, indirect light. East or west windows are ideal. A little morning sun is fine; hot afternoon sun can bleach or burn the leaves. Low light = longer gaps between leaves and less silver.

Water
Let the top 1–2 inches of soil dry, then water thoroughly and dump the saucer. It would rather be a little dry than constantly wet. Droopy leaves usually mean it’s thirsty; yellow leaves often mean it’s too wet.

Soil
Well-draining houseplant or aroid mix. Don’t pack it into heavy potting soil that stays soggy.

Placement
Hang it where the vines can fall freely — by a window, on a plant hook, or above a bookshelf. Pinch or snip the tips if you want it fuller instead of longer.

Temperature & humidity
Average indoor temps (65–85°F). Normal home humidity is enough. Keep it away from cold drafts and blasting heat vents.

Food
Light feeding in spring and summer — a balanced houseplant fertilizer at half strength every 4–6 weeks. Skip it in winter.

Pet note
Toxic if chewed. Hang it high if you have cats or dogs that nibble.

Don’t

• Leave it sitting in water
• Expect bright silver in a dark room
• Panic over an occasional yellow leaf — just check your watering

Hang it up, water when it’s dry, and let the silver trail.
