Philodendron ‘Orange Marmalade’
New leaves come in like a slice of citrus—amber, apricot, sometimes almost peach—then settle to green splashed with gold and orange. No two leaves clock in the same color, so the plant looks different every week. It climbs if you give it a pole; it will also trail, but the best color shows on upright growth in good light.
Bright, indirect light is what keeps the marmalade from going all green. Water when the top of the mix is dry. Chunky aroid soil, a moss pole, and patience: the orange is loudest on new leaves.
Light: Bright indirect. Low light greens it out.
Water: Let the top inch dry, then soak.
Soil: Chunky aroid mix.
Support: Moss pole for bigger, brighter leaves.
Pet note: Toxic if chewed.
