Split leaves without the sofa-sized plant. Lickety Split is a compact, self-heading philodendron with deep lobes that look like a miniature split-leaf—frilly, tropical, and faster than its big cousins. It fills out into a lush clump instead of sending a vine across the room.

Bright, indirect light. Water when the top of the mix is dry. Give it a pot with room and it will earn its name: new splits show up quickly in good light.

Light: Bright indirect. More light = more splits.
Water: Dry down an inch, then soak.
Soil: Rich, well-draining mix.
Habit: Upright and bushy. No pole needed.
Pet note: Toxic if chewed.
