Philodendron ‘Golden Crocodile’
Saw-toothed leaves with a bite. New growth opens gold to chartreuse, then settles toward lime green while keeping that jagged, crocodile-skin edge. The vine wants to climb; on a moss pole the leaves get longer, more serrated, and more ridiculous—in the best way.
Bright, indirect light keeps the gold from going plain green. Water when the top of the chunky mix is dry. Give it something to grab or it will sprawl and stay smaller.
Light: Bright indirect. Color pops in good light.
Water: Dry down an inch, then water thoroughly.
Soil: Chunky aroid mix.
Support: Moss pole for the full “crocodile” look.
Pet note: Toxic if chewed.
Not a polite heart-leaf. This one is all teeth, gold, and climb.
