Hoya Green Light 'TriColor'

Give yourself the green light to adopt one of these gorgeous tricolor hoyas into your houseplant collection. Green Light^™ sends out vines of succulent, almond-shaped leaves. Medium-to-dark glossy green leaves are adorned with heavy cream-colored variegation. If the conditions are just right, your Green Light^™ will develop pretty pink stems and highlights, making it a real traffic-stopper! If you can get your Green Light^™ to bloom, its clusters of waxy pink flowers with red centers will catch the eye of passersby. When it’s done blooming, however, be careful not to cut away the spent flower spurs, as this variety of hoya reblooms on old spurs. Like other epiphytes, this hoya prefers bright, indirect light and to dry out in between waterings.

Height/Habit: 24" Trailing

Water Requirements: Hoyas prefer to dry out in between waterings. As such, water your Hoya thoroughly when the top 1-2 inches of soil feels dry. They can tolerate periods of drought, and overwatering them will cause more harm than underwatering.

Soil Requirements: When repotting your Hoya, use a chunky all-purpose potting mix, with additional orchid bark and perlite added, to ensure your Hoya has good drainage and plenty of nutrients.

PET SAFE - The ASPCA lists Hoya plants as non-toxic to cats and dogs. However, this doesn't mean they are completely safe for pets to ingest. 

Tips and Tricks:  

• Hoyas are vines, capable of trailing or climbing. If you’d like it to climb, provide it with structure, such as a moss pole, trellis, stakes, or other structure.

• Feed your Hoya once per month at half strength when it is actively growing. Reduce frequency of fertilization in the winter months. If no new leaves are growing, it does not need to be fertilized.
