Hoya hybrid

Introducing one of the daintiest hoyas in our Endless Cascades^™ collection, ‘Chouke’. This hybrid is a cross between Hoya carnosa and Hoya serpens, and features small, succulent, almond-shaped leaves of dark green. Leaves have a slightly felted texture, making them soft & smooth to touch. Leaves may also exhibit occasional signs of “splashing” or diffuse silver speckles. Like other hoyas, ‘Chouke’ is a rebloomer. It forms cream-colored, fragrant flowers on both new and old peduncles.

Height/Habit: 24" Trailing

Water Requirements: Hoyas prefer to dry out in between waterings. As such, water your Hoya thoroughly when the top 1-2 inches of soil feels dry. They can tolerate periods of drought, and overwatering them will cause more harm than underwatering.

Soil Requirements: When repotting your Hoya, use a chunky all-purpose potting mix, with additional orchid bark and perlite added, to ensure your Hoya has good drainage and plenty of nutrients.

PET SAFE - The ASPCA lists Hoya plants as non-toxic to cats and dogs. However, this doesn't mean they are completely safe for pets to ingest. 

Tips and Tricks:  

• Hoyas are vines, capable of trailing or climbing. If you’d like it to climb, provide it with structure, such as a moss pole, trellis, stakes, or other structure.

• Feed your Hoya once per month at half strength when it is actively growing. Reduce frequency of fertilization in the winter months. If no new leaves are growing, it does not need to be fertilized.
