Davallia fejeensis (aka Rabbit's Foot Fern)
If you’re looking for a houseplant with a whimsical twist, then look no further than ‘Wooly Tassel’! This rabbit’s foot fern features lacy green fronds and delightfully–or oddly–furry rhizomes that creep along the soil surface and spill out over the edges of its container, almost like the fuzzy legs of a light brown tarantula. Aptly named for its distinctive appearance, ‘Wooly Tassel’ will be just the oddity you need for a lower light space. To keep its fronds from burning, avoid placing it in direct sunlight. Like other ferns, ‘Wooly Tassel’ appreciates moist, but not waterlogged, soil.
Height/Habit: 12-18" Mounded
Low - No direct sun, not near a window. Medium - Medium bright indirect light in the AM or PM, typically from an east or west window.
Water Requirements: Ferns prefer moist, but not soggy soil. Be sure to water when the top inch of soil feels dry.
