Dracaena surculosa ‘Florida Beauty’
Bamboo canes dressed in spotted leaves. Each oval leaf is green splashed with cream and gold—some lightly dusted, some almost half white. New shoots come up from the base, so it fills into a small, upright shrub instead of one lonely stalk.
Bright, indirect light keeps the speckles bright. Too dark and it goes green; hot sun will scorch the cream. Water when the top of the mix is dry. It is a dracaena: it would rather miss a drink than sit wet.
Light: Bright indirect.
Water: Dry down, then water. Ease off in winter.
Soil: Well-draining houseplant mix.
Habit: Upright, cane-forming. Compact.
Pet note: Toxic to cats and dogs if eaten. Keep up and away.
