A whole coconut, cracked into life. The husk sits in the pot like a beach find, with a green shoot pushing up and thick, pale roots spilling out where you can see them. It is part plant, part sculpture—the kind of thing people photograph before they even take it home.

Treat it like a tropical palm in training. Bright light, warm room, and even moisture. The nut is still feeding the plant, so don’t bury it; leave the coconut sitting on or just into the mix with those roots free to breathe. Water when the top of the soil starts to dry. It will not stay a cute nut forever—given time and light it wants to become a palm.

Light: Bright indirect to strong filtered sun.
Water: Keep evenly moist. Don’t let the nut sit in standing water.
Soil: Fast-draining mix; coconut stays exposed.
Warmth: Keep above 60°F. This is not a cold-window plant.
Pet note: The plant itself is generally considered non-toxic; the nut is not a chew toy.
