Two plants stacked into one. A bright, sculptural top—often crested or candy-colored—is grafted onto a tough green stock that does the root work. The result looks like a desert coral: yellow, pink, red, or white sitting on a sturdy base. No two are drawn the same.

This is a novelty that still wants cactus rules. Full sun to very bright light keeps the color. Water sparingly—soak, then let the pot go dry. The stock is doing the drinking; overwatering is what kills these. Handle with care: euphorbia sap is milky and can irritate skin and eyes.

Light: Bright light to full sun. Color fades in a dark corner.
Water: Dry most of the way down. Winter: even less.
Soil: Fast-draining cactus mix.
Note: The colorful top cannot grow on its own. If the graft fails, the stock may live; the top will not.
Caution: Toxic sap. Keep away from pets and kids. Wear gloves if you prune.
